Well here at Lanes, we recycle all cardboard, all paper and any stock that can be recycled, including plastic, is taken or collected in order to be reused and recycled into further stock.
We offer recycled paper options and in doing this we know we are consciously helping the environment become a greener and more efficient place. Our paper waste is always recycled and almost all paper products we supply are recyclable.
The main reason we choose to use recycled paper is because recycled paper is the most green and eco-friendly option, it uses less energy, water, and produces lower carbon emissions than the manufacturing of non-recycled paper. Doing this also reduces the amount of waste to landfill – as paper can be recycled four to five times! At Lanes Printers, we want to show our commitment to helping the environment and do our part as a high producing Co2 emissions industry. If fellow printing companies follow suit, we can all collectively help bring down carbon emissions and use recycled materials to print on as well as recycle any stock that can be recycled.
Of course, if you prefer not to print on recycled paper or cardboard we can use non-recycled paper and cardboard options. We know some people may not want this and we want to help everyone find the best option for them when it comes to printing services.
At Lanes Printers, we comply with the ISO 14000 which is a family of standards related to environmental management. It exists to help organizations minimize how their operations or processes negatively affect the environment and how they comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements.
The paper we use at Lanes that is not recycled is always sustainable sourced and comes from responsibly managed forests. We work with respected certification schemes - both the Forest Stewardship Council® and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification - who focus on responsible forest management, and the conserving the natural habitats of plants and animals, while respecting the rights of forestry workers and local communities. They operate a robust chain of schemes that track wood and wood fibre through every step of the supply chain, from the forest to the end user. This means it is still an eco friendly option, if we cannot recycle our paper waste.
